Background

Having a mixture of nationalities, being British, Dutch and German along with having lived in both the Netherlands and the UK, my international upbringing has enabled me to gain a deep insight into the challenges that expats face. It has also provided me with a profound awareness of different cultures and values.

Training & Approach

I graduated from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland where I specialised in Clinical Psychology and since then have worked in The Netherlands as an expat psychologist and have followed extensive training in various treatment approaches. I am specialised in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, and EMDR and use a holistic approach to ensure that my treatments can be tailored to the patients' needs and be as effective as possible. I have an additional specialisation in psychoanalytic developmental psychology where I trained at the University College London in collaboration with The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families. I am currently undertaking a Doctorate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training & Clinical Practice.

I have several years of experience in working with a variety of complaints, some include: AD(H)D, ASD, Anxiety Disorders (GAD, Specific Phobias, OCD and Social Anxiety), Cultural adjustment problems, Interpersonal difficulties, Relationship difficulties, Co-dependency issues, Self-esteem problems, Depression and PTSD I am also able to offer diagnostic assessments.

I provide private psychotherapy and coaching in English to children, adolescents and adults from a variety of cultural backgrounds. 

I do not work with BGGZ or SGGZ clients.

Practice hours

Mondays & Tuesdays: Via video conferencing or person in Amsterdam.

Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays: Via video

conferencing or in person in The Hague.
